Raku Firing | Sunday, October 11th 8:30 am- 5:00 pm

Experience the excitement and unpredictability of Raku firing! Join us on Sunday, October 11th, from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM for a unique day of pottery, fire, and creative exploration.

Firing takes place at Peter Syak’s home studio. We’ll meet at the studio at 8:30 AM and carpool to Bloomfield, NJ  for the firing. Raku is a fast, hands-on firing process that creates dramatic colors, metallic effects, crackled surfaces, and one-of-a-kind finishes—no two pieces will ever turn out exactly alike!

The event cost includes Raku glazes and firing materials, but does not include clay or studio time. Participants are responsible for creating and preparing their pieces before the event.

Non-members who would like to create and fire their pieces at the studio will need to purchase an additional studio membership.

Space is limited, so reserve your spot and get ready for a memorable day of fire, creativity, and unexpected results!
